About Us

The Italian American Women’s Guild (IAWG) was founded in 1995 with the mission of bringing together Bay Area women of all ages with common heritage to perpetuate Italian cultural tradition in a spirit of friendship and support.

Throughout each year IAWG proudly performs charitable acts of kindness to benefit various organizations within the Bay Area community. Beyond its financial donations, IAWG also organizes fundraisers, such as food, toy, clothing, and blanket drives.

The craftswomen of IAWG are named Mani di Angeli (Hands of Angels). Every year Mani di Angeli makes it possible for IAWG to provide local hospitals with meaningful, handmade donations. As an example those donations have included surgical dolls, blankets and wheelchair backpacks for children, and also knit booties and caps for premature babies.

The IAWG Scholarship Fund was established as an investment in the education and promise of its young men and women. IAWG strongly believes that education is a powerful instrument in achieving one’s dreams. Scholarships are proudly awarded every year to selected recipients.

Members of IAWG are given opportunities to partake in multiple social events throughout each year. Recent events have included lunches, holiday dinners, Bingo, local day bus trips, theater outings and Pedro and Bocce lessons and tournaments.

IAWG began in 1995 with under 40 members. Today, IAWG is 300+ members strong, and continues to grow. In true Italian spirit – we always have room at our table for friends!

Speriamo vi unirete a noi!
(“We hope you will join us!”)
